    February 5th. The Wranå siblings won Sweden’s first medal. In addition, Isabella Wranå quickly gained worldwide attention due to her accuracy and tongue-in-cheek nature.

    February 7th. Ebba Andersson and Frida Karlsson celebrate silver and gold in the 10 km freestyle with cake before a big press event in Fiemme Valley.     February 10th. Many people came to Tesero to cheer on the cross-country skiers. Lilli, 5 years old, from Finland has fun playing around in the snow while waiting for the start. Her aunt, Finnish cross-country skier Jasmi Joensuu, will soon be out on the trails.

    February 10th. The original women’s squad achieved a historic triple in the sprint. The question marks surrounding the accident victim Linn Svahn were quickly erased. Not even Jonna Sundling could compete with her in the race.

    February 12th. After the award ceremony, Frida Karlsson runs to the stands where the family is cheering. Dad meets them at the fence and they stretch as far as they can to reach each other. It’s his birthday and winning Olympic gold is an unforgettable gift for his daughter.

    February 14th. There were many question marks before Frida Karlsson’s Olympics in Milan/Cortina, and in Beijing four years ago most things went wrong. This season, Frida chose gut instinct over heart rate monitors and medical tests, and the skeptics were quickly proven wrong. The form was more than good and she took two gold and a silver medal before the fever took hold and put an end to the final races of the 2026 Olympics.

    February 15th. Sara Hector was one of the favorites when the women’s giant slalom started. With only one runner left, she was still in the lead, but Italy’s Federica Brignone was uncatchable. Instead, Hector had to share silver with Thea Louise Stjernesund from Norway.

    While cross-country skiing is a popular sport among Swedes, things are looking rosy for biathlon in many parts of Europe. The full stands in Antholz are absolutely buzzing when Sebastian Samuelsson goes out after his shot.

    February 20th. Team Hasselborg embraces each other as they defeat Canada and realize they have reached the Olympic final in Cortina. Once there, the team took home the gold medal.

    February 22nd. In the end it was Ebba Andersson’s day. After a shaky Olympics that alternated between second places and falls, she bested the rest of the field in the five-mile race to win the gold medal by an overwhelming margin. Silver medalist Heidi Weng of Norway crossed the finish line two minutes and fifteen seconds after Andersson.
