This is a comment text. The author is responsible for the analysis and positioning in the text.

If World War III seems to have broken out and you’re expecting around-the-clock coverage from SVT, you’ll be very surprised at their questionable performance in the first weekend of the war after the US-Israeli attack on Iran.

One shouldn’t be quick to criticize, I understand the difficulties, but it was probably noticeable that the people in the house on Gärdet in Stockholm had taken a weekend away. And that’s probably the worst part. That it was noticed.

When the shit hits the fan Can’t we ask viewers to wait until Monday – “we have the day off and will watch Mello tonight”. Everyone should work, should that have been the rallying cry anyway? It didn’t seem like it.

When SVT finally made an additional broadcast on Saturday evening that Iran’s supreme leader was probably dead, it was around 10:50 p.m., 50 minutes after TV4 sent out the same message and long after the first signs. And in the box they had put the two who seemed to be the only people left at SVT on Saturday night: an inexperienced presenter and a very untested reporter.

It took SVT far too long to start mediocre shows – they seemed to have problems with people in the newsroom, guests in the studio and enough experienced people in the box

It wasn’t until late Sunday afternoon that they seemed to have found the right people, but the group of guests, experts and analysts they had been waiting for never materialized.

Of course you said its own news puzzle that shuttles between American, English, French, German and other news channels, but SVT can’t rely on that – and constantly ending its broadcasts with minute-by-minute updates of the news situation on the Internet is downright rude to viewers.

By the way, what are you going to do on SVT for the next four hours while the rest of us are reading the news stories you post from various agencies? Long coffee? We’ll shake up your routines, excuse the language, show some creativity, have some imagination and call in everyone you have in your old Rollodex!

It’s great Middle East correspondent Gilda Hamidi-Nia (competent) is on the ground in Israel – but what else does she have to add as she stands on a street in front of an emergency shelter in Tel Aviv? She’s standing there all weekend. Standing on a rooftop in New York is US correction Sofia Yohannes (usually very good) and the same goes for her.

I understand that SVT wants “color” and presence – but from there they read and listen to largely the same sources that I have access to at home in the living room on Södermalm.

It doesn’t feel very efficient. It’s not even new. It’s definitely not news.

Not only did Trump destroy the vacation at SVT, he also affected my own planning. What was he thinking?

I’ve set out to write extensively about a series of new Palme documentaries – but now you can do that analysis yourself.

I’m the kind of person who can listen to just about any theory about the Palm murder, or any conspiracy theory, if you will. After 40 years of constant disappointment, you’re ready to throw everything on the table.

“Kriminalarkivet” by André Pop and Lars Lamper goes through the most important events surrounding the investigation and what we roughly know about the murder in eight 20-minute episodes (SVT) – and it is very well summarized.

    It’s a bit exciting – but it’s very thin

Bo G Andersson argues in the documentary “The Agent and the Cover-Up” because the magnificent Ebbe Carlsson and his assistants Barrling and Kegö were deliberately silenced, when in fact they certainly knew (?) with the help of the so-called diplomatic wiretapping that the Soviets already knew and were possibly deeply involved in the murder. It’s a bit exciting – but it’s very thin.

TV4 is broadcasting the documentary “Hidden Traces of the Palm Murder” about a group of private detectives and their AI-generated theories. It’s also exciting – but even thinner.

Decide for yourself. Definitely worth a few hours.
