    West coast ipa
The trend continued strongly into 2025, as West Coast IPAs became both more and better – but most importantly, they took on a slightly new shape, becoming less acidic, slightly lighter and with a hop profile that offered more generous fruitiness in addition to bitterness.
    Example: Church Titan Double IPA from Omnipollo • 59.90 SEK • 44 cl • 8% • TS 108813.

    Modern warehouse
Slowly but surely the presence of hops in lager has also become stronger. More and more breweries are cracking the code and producing easy-drinking, crisp beers with a distinct hop fruitiness.
    Example: San Diego from Stigbergets Bryggeri • SEK 22.90 • 33 cl • 5% • LS 3308415

    Porter and Stout
The sudden Guinness trend has shone a light on the darkest beers, relatively low-alcohol varieties that are unbeatable food companions for everything sweet and salty while being easy-drinking and refreshing. Over the course of the spring there will also be further nitro versions, in which the distinct Guinness foam is created with the help of nitrogen, which gives the beer another dimension.
    Example: Black Mountain Stout from Svartberget Fjällbryggeri • SEK 26.70 • 33 cl • 4.7% • LS 3202515

    Real fruit
The sour fruit beers in the fixed range have a price that rarely allows the use of real fruit. But that’s exactly what’s needed to do justice to the style. Real fruit provides natural acidity, great taste and beautiful color.
    Example: Frozen pond from Duckpond • 45.90 SEK • 33 cl • 6% • LS 3245115

    Beer at a reasonable price
With Systembolaget constantly introducing new, reasonably priced beers, there is little to suggest that demand will slow down. The beers often come from breweries that have mastered the craft well, they are clean and light – but anonymous.
    Example: Gränkes Classic Lager beer from Spendrups Bryggeri • 9.90 SEK • 33 cl • 4% • SB 1212335

    Organic beer
Organic malt and hops are central to the sustainable development of the beer scene. To ensure that the taste does not suffer, a higher price is necessary, but as with many other organic products, you are then rewarded both in terms of taste and emotionally.
    Example: Root Power from Remmarlöv Gårdsbryggeri • SEK 28.90 • 44 cl • 5% • SB 3722514

    Alcohol-free
The demand for non-alcoholic beer seems insatiable and both large and smaller breweries are driving the development forward in parallel. This will remain the case in 2026 and the quality of the beer will once again reach new heights.
    Example: Pale Ale non-alcoholic from Oppigårds Bryggeri • 16.90 SEK • 33 cl • 0.3% • SB 1305815

    Fresh, hazy IPs
There’s no sign of the trend for big, hoppy or hazy New England wines slowing down. The beer is characterized by a strong hop presence rich in fruitiness and a round, soft malt body and low bitterness. It’s important to the experience that the beer is fresh – check the date stamp or keep an eye on the releases. Always keep the beer cold.
    Example: Eyeconic from Fermenterarna • 39.40 SEK • 33 cl • 7.2% • LS 3075035
