Several prominent voices within the MAGA movement criticize the US and Israeli attack on Iran. Right-wing extremist Marjorie Taylor Greene, formerly one of the president’s staunchest allies, rages on social media:

“The Trump administration actually asked in a poll how many casualties voters would be willing to accept in a war with Iran? How about zero, you damn liars. We voted for America First and zero war,” she writes on X.

Even Republican Reagan Box, who is running to replace Taylor Greene after retiring from Congress, says she does not support the attacks in Iran.

    – Every time we have tried to carry out regime change, especially in the Middle East, we have only destabilized it, she tells Reuters.

During his second term The president has spent a lot of time on foreign policy, which has drawn criticism from some supporters who believe Trump should focus more on “America First.”

Opinion polls have recently shown that the economy is Americans’ top concern. The attacks could hurt Republicans in the fall midterm elections as they fight to retain power in Congress.

“Liberating the Iranian people is not the reason I voted for Trump,” writes the conservative – and Trump-loyal – podcast duo Hodgetwins on X.

Right-wing activist and former anchor Tucker Carlson called the attack “absolutely vile and evil,” said Jonathan Karl, ABC News’ chief Washington correspondent at X. Carlson is a prominent figure in the MAGA movement and visited the White House just last week.

A majority The chairman of the Republican Party, however, is positive about the attack. Shortly after Donald Trump confirmed that the US and Israel had attacked Iran, the party’s national committee released a statement expressing support for the operation.

In Congress, reactions largely followed party lines, with Republicans deeming the attack necessary.
