Adam Rosenkvist will be awarded the Ingela Linds Prize for Young Critics this year. He is a doctoral student in fine arts at the University of Södertörn and a critic at Expressen, among others.
– I am very honored to receive the award! I read Ingela Lind’s reviews last year and remember her as an astute, educated and engaging critic. “Receiving the award is a heartwarming confirmation that my writing is moving in the right direction,” says Adam Rosenkvist in a press release.
Ingela Lind was an author and long-time art critic, including for DN. Since 2024, the prize has been awarded every two years to a young art or cultural critic in her memory. The prize consists of a scholarship of SEK 25,000 for a trip to the Venice Art Biennale. In addition, the prize winner will have the opportunity to write an article about the biennale in DN.
The jury’s statement states: “With pedagogical clarity, Adam Rosenkvist combines analysis with presence and makes art understandable without simplifying.”
In 2024, the writer and critic Donia Saleh was awarded the first prize in memory of Ingela Lind.
