    1) The Olympian King.

When Norway won the men’s relay, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won his ninth Olympic gold, already becoming the greatest Winter Olympian of all time.

    2) The Olympic King 2.

Carl XVI Gustaf knows what to say to a broken skier. In a video call with the Swedish squadron, the king called out to Ebba Andersson:

“Ebba, incredible! What a thrill. I’ve never seen a cross-country skier fly through the air like that. It was incredible.”

    3) The walk.

Norwegian slalom rider Atle Lie McGrath led after the first run but fell. He dropped his gear and wandered far off the trail before falling into a snowdrift. Even if you don’t have any gold in your hand, you may have to be alone for a while.

    4) The look.

    5) The fingering.

Canadian curlers couldn’t help but claw at the stone they had just dropped.

    6) The surgeon.

Even before the Olympics, there were reports that ski jumpers had penis enlargements in order to have a larger suit and be able to fly longer. Italian plastic surgeon Alessandro Littara revealed that he helped a diver before the Olympics.

“I used a generous dose of hyaluronic acid.”

    7) The crash.

After the mountain accident, Lindsey Vonn was lifted up with the help of a helicopter. The scene where she launches from the hill where a Bond film was filmed shows that sport trumps all scripts.

    8) The Olympics joke.

Initially, Alvar Myhlback was not selected for the five-mile run. He was then asked to come down and leave. When he said no, the question became whether to come down and be a reserve player.

The last one is the biggest Olympic joke.

    9) The Olympic Song.

Lasse Holm’s “Canelloni Macaroni” was the Swedish ice hockey team’s goal song.

“I will sing the strange operatic part of the song on my deathbed,” writes New York Times columnist Mark Lazerus.

    10) The Olympic problem.

The Polish Iwona Januszyk collapsed after a failure in ski mountaineering. Snow stuck to the stirrup skins. New “sport”, new problems.

    11) The Olympic champion.

Given all the problems she had, Linn Svahn’s gold felt very special.

Linn Svahn finally got a real chance at a championship. Here with Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist.
