    “Baby Recycling”

Rabén & Sjögren, ages three and up

Shirin always wanted a sibling, but that didn’t happen. She has two! Now there is chaos at home. Since the twin brothers arrived, everything has been up and down. With the help of her preschool friends, Shirin begins to make plans. Maybe you can give the brothers away, mail them to the king in the castle, or give them away second hand? “Baby Recovery” is a dramatic and twisted comedy with lyrics by Mia Breitholtz. Cartoonist Louise Winblad captures humor in charmingly chaotic images.

    “Alya and the Three Cats”

    Trans. Elisabeth Risberg

The thrush, from three years old

The three cats Pasha, Minush and Amir live at home with Maryam and Sami. They are pampered as if they were princes. They love to be petted and cared for. But one day Maryam’s stomach starts to grow. It becomes rounder and rounder until it can no longer rest. What happens? Alya and the Three Cats is a fun and exciting story about a growing family, presented from the perspective of three very cute cats. The Moroccan writer Amina Hachimi Alaoui writes sensitively about change.

    “Wait for the waffle”

Rabén & Sjögren, ages three and up

The fox Emil longs and waits. He’s going to be a big brother! Mom says little sister is coming on waffle day. So Emil decides to name her Våfflan. While his little sister grows in the womb, Emil thinks about everything they will do together. But the waffle is born far too early! And has to stay in the hospital. How long will she be there? Debutant Therese Ekstrand and illustrator Mia Olofsson have collaborated to create an everyday, warm picture book about the birth of a small, tiny and very fragile sibling.
