“When we were little, we started with boys’ curling and then Dad became our junior coach,” says Isabella Wranå.
– Mom was always at the club, raising money so we could afford to go away and play tournaments. “Our parents did a lot for our career,” says Rasmus Wranå.
In the stands in Cortina, Mats and Monika continued to support their children. When DN took the bus home to her parents’ hotel after the sibling semi-final, Monika Wranå told me that she was nervous.
“Yes, it’s not good for your heart or blood pressure, but we’re so proud and happy about it,” she said.
Now the family can I’m even more happy.
Albin Kjellberg was also in the stands all week. He is Isabella Wranås’ friend and partner. Kjellberg is known as “Aktie-Albin” and regularly appears on various television shows about the stock market.
In recent years he has naturally become more and more interested in curling. He says that he once had the opportunity to be part of the same team as the Wranå siblings.
“It was like putting an amateur in Real Madrid,” says Kjellberg.
Football and above all Hammarby is another big interest. Kjellberg says that when Isabella wanted to move closer to the curling hall in Sundbyberg due to time constraints, there was talk of an apartment in Solna for a while, which the Hammarby supporter wasn’t very happy about. In the end it was a Sundbyberg, which isn’t exactly Bajanland either.
– Although it’s okay, because now “Bella” is also a Bajen fan and goes to the games with me, says Kjellberg.
